Four people have been arrested following a gang clash in Wairoa earlier this week in which shots were fired.
Police started their investigation after two shots were fired on McLean Street late on Tuesday night.
A 23-year-old man was arrested on the night for possession of offensive weapons.
Three more men have now been arrested after the Armed Offenders Squad carried out two search warrants and seized a shotgun.
They are due to appear in court tomorrow on charges of assault with a weapon, willful damage, aggravated robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Wairoa police said gang violence in the town would not be tolerated.
