Police are investigating injuries to a six-month-old baby admitted to Nelson Hospital on Friday.

Acting Detective Sergeant Robyn Green said the child was taken to hospital with burns, and later transferred to the Hutt Hospital burns unit in Wellington.
Ms Green said they are treating the injuries as non-accidental.
She asked that anyone with information about the incident to contact the Nelson Child Protection Team on 03 546 3840.
