Searchers have recovered a body believed to be that of a missing boatie, in the far North.
The 23-year-old man has been missing since last evening when a boat sank in Mangonui Harbour.
His two companions managed to make it safely to shore.
Police said the body would need to be formally identified.
The death will be referred to the Coroner.
