A man is in police custody after armed police swarmed a property to the west of Hamilton due to reports of gunshots being fired.
Police were called to a property on Berntsen Road, near Harbour Road in Hauturu just before 7am today.
The Armed Offenders Squad responded to the callout but police officers did not fire any shots.
A 39-year-old man is now in custody, police said.
