Police have named the two people who died in a firearms incident near Castlepoint in Wairarapa yesterday.

They were Jody Ratima, 48, and James Teddy, 54.
Armed police were called to a rural home on Masterton-Castlepoint Road early yesterday morning after reports of shots and found the two bodies.
Post-mortems will be carried out in Wellington today.
Police found a firearm at the address and are not looking for any other weapons.
