A second nurse has tested positive for Covid-19 at Queenstown's Lakes District Hospital.
The Southern DHB say all 74 people who work at the hospital will now have to be tested.
It says the nurse was one of 15 close contacts of another nurse who tested positive on Monday.
Close contacts of both the cases have to isolate themselves but casual contacts can still work at the hospital.
The DHB said its emergency department would remain open but the maternity ward would move to another building.
