A situation where a man was in a stand-off with police after barricading himself inside a house in the Auckland suburb of Flat Bush has been resolved.

Police were called to Jeffs Rd shortly after 1pm after reports that a man was making threats to the public.
He then barricaded himself in a house on the street and threatened police.
Police spent some time trying to negotiate with the man, who refused to come out of the address.
Shortly after 5pm, police said the situation had been resolved with an arrest made.
