Two people have died following a crash in Hawke's Bay this afternoon
Another person was seriously injured and was transported to hospital.
SH5 was closed for several hours but has now reopened, the New Zealand Transport Agency says.
It said earlier that the crash took place north of Te Pohue Loop Rd on SH5.
The serious crash unit was also on the scene conducting an investigation, NZTA said.
