Police have launched a homicide investigation into the death of a 10-month old baby in Auckland.

The baby was taken from Manurewa to Starship Hospital before dying this morning.
A scene examination is underway, and police are speaking to a number of people in relation to the death.
A post mortem will take place tomorrow.
