A large scrub fire south of Dunedin is now under control.

Fire and Emergency were called to Taieri Beach, about 30km south of the city, shortly before 1.30pm.
They found an area of coastline vegetation of 30m by 30m on fire.
A spokesperson said fire fighters have left the scene and it is now in the hands of the land owner.
Fire and Emergency will go back tomorrow morning to check it has been fully extinguished.
