Two people have died following a crash near Pātea in South Taranaki.

The two-vehicle crash on State Highway 3 at the intersection of O'Reilly and Patea roads, was reported at around 10.30am this morning.
The road has now been reopened.
Police thanked motorists for their patience and cooperation.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
