Eden Park will sell the naming rights to the national stadium for one week - during the Bledisloe Cup later this month.
ASB Bank has secured the temporary naming rights and plans to gift it to a struggling New Zealand business.
The stadium is among venues affected by restrictions on gatherings in Auckland since mid August.
Eden Park chief executive Nick Sautner said the stadium had been challenged to find ways to embrace the new normal to ensure it could continue to operate.
"For us it has been significant the stadium events sector has been hit probably similar to the tourism sector in terms of job losses," he said.
"It is unprecedented times there's uncertainty around what the calendar of events will look like until the end of the financial year. We're confident we've done everything we can to mitigate the impact of Covid."
It is the first time the stadium has entered into an agreement to rename the venue, albeit temporarily.
Sautner said Eden Park was not considering selling its naming rights again.
"This is unprecedented times and like all businesses Eden Park is looking to embrace the new normal. We identified an opportunity to extract value during this challenging time but also to support a local business through our partnership with ASB."
