A truck fire on the Southwestern Motorway has blocked northbound and southbound lanes as Fire and Emergency work to contain the blaze.

Waka Kotahi said to expect delays in both directions on the Southwestern Motorway between Mangere and Hillsborough and to avoid the area if possible.
All northbound lanes just prior to the Hillsborough off-ramp are closed. The fire has been extinguished and heavy haulage are on-site.
