A 5-year-old who was injured in a water incident near Thames last night is now in a stable condition, the Auckland District Health Board says.
Emergency Services were called to the Miranda Holiday Park just after 8pm, and the girl was taken to Starship Hospital in critical condition.
In a message on their social media page, the resort confirmed there was a water incident involving a child, and the girl was now recovering well.
"Please take this as a reminder wherever you are this summer, to keep a watchful eye on your children in and around any water."
