One person has died following a crash near Tamahere in the Waikato region.

The crash between a truck and a car happened before midday at the intersection of Tauwhare and Woodcock Roads.
The person died at the scene.
Another person was taken to hospital with moderate injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating and diversions are in place.
