There are four new cases of Covid-19 in managed isolation and quarantine (MIQ) facilities today.
In a statement, the Ministry of Health said the four new cases at the border arrived from India via Qatar on 22 May.
The seven-day rolling average of new cases detected at the border is two, it said.
Two previously reported cases have now recovered.
"Seven previously reported cases have been reclassified as historical. All seven have been removed from our active cases list and five will not be recorded in our country tally of COVID-19 cases as these have been reported in the respective country overseas."
There have been 64 historical cases since 1 January, out of a total of 495 cases.
The total number of confirmed cases is 2,311.
Meanwhile, the ministry said it is aware of reports of two likely positive cases in Melbourne and is working with its Australian counterparts.
It is expects to provide a further update later today.
The total number of Covid-19 tests processed to date is 2,108,952.
Yesterday 1,976 tests were processed. The seven-day rolling average is 3,769.
There were six new cases of Covid-19 in MIQ facilities yesterday.
Meanwhile, Māori health providers in Whanganui will begin vaccinating Māori and Pasifika aged 50 and older against Covid-19 from this week. Whānau aged over 16 who live with them will also be offered the jab.
