An early-morning brawl in a Wellington supermarket carpark has left one person needing surgery.
The police say they were called to the New World Chaffers carpark just after 2am.
Four men were arrested for fighting and disorderly behaviour, and a fifth was taken to Wellington Hospital, where he has undergone surgery and is in a serious but stable condition.
The police want to hear from anyone who may have seen the fight, particularly if they photographed or filmed it.
