A man has been charged with murder after the death of a man in the Auckland suburb of Panmure last month.
Police were called to reports of a fight outside a house on Tripoli Road on 23 August.
John Tofu Ioane, 52, from Favona was found in a critical condition with stab wounds, and died at the scene.
A 48-year-old man was initially charged with common assault.
He is due to appear in the Auckland District Court today to face a murder charge as well as a separate assault charge, which allegedly relates to another person involved in the incident.
