Police are appealing for information following a fatal crash involving a pedestrian in Matamata last week.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Waharoa Road East at 9.35pm last Friday.
The person died at the scene.
Now police have said they want to hear from anyone who may have seen a pedestrian walking on the road prior in the hour beforehand.
They also want to speak with the occupants of a dark coloured vehicle seen pulling over and parking near the Pollen Road Intersection at about 9.30pm.
