A person has been seriously injured after a car went off the road and flipped on the Remutaka Hill road between Upper Hutt and Wairarapa along State Highway 2.

Emergency services were notified of the single-vehicle collision at 9.42am.
A helicopter has been been dispatched to the scene.
One lane is open but motorists should expect delays.
