Southland police want to speak to any witnesses of a sexual assault on a young woman in Riverton.
They say she was walking home after a New Year's Eve celebration in Riverton.
The police would like to hear from anyone who was in the vicinity of John or Bates Streets between 12.45am and 1.30am on Saturday, or anyone who has any information that could assist the investigation.
