State Highway 1 between Hill Rd and Takanini in Manurewa has fully re-opened after a vehicle crashed through the overbridge last night, falling onto the motorway below.

The vehicle was travelling along Hill Rd, Manurewa, about 3.37am when it lost control, crashing through the barriers and dropped onto the motorway below, police earlier said in a statement.
The sole occupant became trapped and had to be cut free by emergency services before being taken to hospital in a serious condition.
