Two people who kidnapped, tortured and hanged a 17-year-old will begin to appeal their convictions and prison sentences today.
Kerry Te Amo and Toko Shane Rei Winter were found guilty of murdering Dimetrius Pairama after a three-week trial at the High Court in Auckland in 2019.
The teenager's body was found in a drum at a derelict house in Māngere in July 2018.
Both were jailed for life.
The hearing at the Court of Appeal in Wellington will be done remotely, beginning at 10am.
