Police are seeking information about the movements of black Suzuki Swift in relation the death of a man in Raglan in January.
Jade Pui, 42, was found dead in his vehicle in Raglan on 26 January.
Police say his death was under suspicious circumstances and launched a homicide injuiry.
"A team of investigators have been conducting inquiries and speaking to the public in attempts to piece together what occurred," Detective Senior Sergeant Ross Patterson said.
"The investigation team is particularly interested in the movements of a black Suzuki Swift, which was seen travelling between Hamilton and Raglan between 4pm and 8pm on Wednesday, 26 January."
Patterson says police are interested in the car and identifying its occupants who they believe may be able to assist the inquiry team.
The investigation is ongoing and police are following a strong line of inquiry, he said.
"We'd like to thank the public for the information we have received.
"We understand these incidents can be distressing, but please be reassured we will endeavour to hold those responsible to account."
