A person has died in a crash between a vehicle and a cyclist in south Taranaki on Tuesday morning.

Emergency services were called to South Road in Warea about 10.40am.
Police said the road would be closed for some time.
Diversions are in place at Mid Puniho Road and at Parihaka.
The police serious crash unit has been advised.
