A man has died after the boat he was in tipped over in the sea off Cape Palliser Road, Wairarapa.

The 63-year-old was in the small boat with one other person who is safe and well.
Police say they received a report of the person in difficulty at 10.30am.
The man was unable to be resuscitated at the scene.
"Police extends its condolences to the man's family and friends."
Enquires are being made by police on behalf of the Coroner.
