A hang glider pilot has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after falling into a residential suburb in Auckland early this evening.
St John said they were called to the scene just before 5pm and the person is in a critical condition.
The police said the person was found on a property on Peter Terrace in Castor Bay.
Kennedy Park in Castor Bay is a popular launch spot for hang gliders and paragliders who land at the beaches below the cliffs.
