A police helicopter followed a vehicle across Auckland city last night, after an incident that left one person with a head injury.

Police said officers were called to New Lynn after 9pm, and the Eagle helicopter followed a vehicle all the way to Browns Bay on the North Shore. No one has yet been arrested.
The injured person is in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
