Some restrictions on visitors to Dunedin Hospital will be lifted tomorrow afternoon.
All the hospital's wards have been closed to visitors since Thursday night after patients and staff were exposed to Covid-19 on several occasions.
Visitors will be allowed to return to the hospital from 2pm tomorrow.
The Southern DHB said controls would remain in place with all visitors having to pass screening procedures and wear a surgical grade mask for the entirety of their visit.
Patients will still be limited to two nominated visitors per stay with an exception made on compassionate grounds.
