A person has died after a two-vehicle crash southeast of Whanganui on Friday night.
The fatal crash happened about 5.30pm on the State Highway 3 in Turakina.
One person died at the scene and another was taken to Whanganui Hospital in a serious condition.
Police said the Serious Crash Unit has completed an examination of the scene and an investigation is ongoing.
