Two pedestrians have been taken to Wellington Hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Thorndon.

It happened at around 7pm at the corner of St Mary Street and Tinakori Road.
One is in a critical condition the other in a serious condition.
Police advise motorists to take alternative routes between Karori and the city centre.
