Charts removed from Covid-19 visualisations page

The following charts have been removed from the Covid-19 data visualisations: NZ in numbers webpage:

  • Locations of interest chart - removed as data no longer available.
  • Estimated variant prevalence in New Zealand - removed and replaced with data from ESR.
  • International arrivals pre-departure testing and vaccination compliance - removed as border cases became less relevant.
  • Quarantine capacity - removed as no longer as relevant.
  • Covid-19 cases not epidemiologically linked - removed as data no longer available.
  • Percentage of schools with notified cases over past 10 days - removed as data no longer available.
  • Previous day's new Covid-19 cases infectious in the community - removed as data no longer available.
  • Use of the Covid Tracer app- removed as no longer as relevant.
  • Percentage of schools with notified cases (time series) - removed as data no longer available.
  • Contact tracing - removed as data no longer available.
  • School and ELS staff and student cases in past seven days - removed as data no longer available.
  • Cases notified to the Ministry of Education in past seven days - removed as data no longer available.
  • Cases in early learning services and schools in past seven days - removed as data no longer available.
  • Fully-staffed ICU beds - removed as ICU admissions shown in another chart and possible out-of-date ICU bed numbers, requiring OIAs to update.
  • Hospitalised by DHB/Region per 100,000 population - removed due to inconsistent data.
  • Vaccination status of total cases and hospitalisations since August 2021 - removed due to data changes and occasionally inconsistent data from MoH. The time spent troubleshooting, obtaining corrected data and rebuilding these charts proved excessive.
  • Vaccination status of new cases per 100,000 of population segment - removed due to data changes and occasionally inconsistent data from MoH. The time spent troubleshooting, obtaining corrected data and rebuilding these charts proved excessive.
  • Vaccination status of new hospitalisations for Covid per 100,000 of population segment - removed due to data changes and occasionally inconsistent data from MoH. The time spent troubleshooting, obtaining corrected data and rebuilding these charts proved excessive.
  • Vaccination status of population and 7-day rolling average of new cases and hospitalisations - removed due to data changes and occasionally inconsistent data from MoH. The time spent troubleshooting, obtaining corrected data and rebuilding these charts proved excessive.
  • Search vaccination rates by suburb - removed due to data supply changes requiring significant effort to rebuild.
  • Weekly deaths within 28 days of being reported as case - removed and replaced with daily deaths.
  • Active cases by DHB/Region (map) and time series graphs for DHBs - removed after some DHBs were merged together, then later unmerged weeks later, disrupting time series data. Replaced with map and time series graphs of daily cases.
  • Daily cases, hospitalisations and deaths per million - removed after first Omicron peak as no longer as relevant.
  • Traffic light management system map - removed as traffic light system discontinued.
  • Daily active Covid-19 cases - removed as no longer available after switch to weekly reporting.
  • Booster effectiveness over time - removed as no longer as relevant with second boosters becoming available to selected groups.
  • Daily cases by DHB map - removed with switch to weekly reporting.
  • Daily cases by DHB/Region per 100,000 population - removed with the switch to weekly reporting.
  • Vaccination - Eligible population vaccinated - removed due to outdated StatsNZ population estimates of age groups.
  • Age of new cases by week - removed due to time needed to update.
  • Border cases - removed as data no longer available
  • Border variants - removed as data no longer available
  • Vaccinations: percentage of DHB total and eligible - removed as data format changed
  • Total population vaccinated - removed due to data source issues
