Police have recovered a body from the scene of a house fire on Nina Place, Manurewa, Auckland, last night.
The fire occurred about midnight an a male occupant from the address remains at Middlemore Hospital after sustaining extensive burn injuries from the fire, police say.
A post mortem examination will take place in the next days to confirm identification and determine the cause of death.
Police are investigating, supported by FENZ.
