Police have launched a homicide investigation after the death of a man in Hastings overnight.
Eastern District Police were called to Ramsay Crescent in Flaxmere about 11.45pm Thursday after two people were found injured outside an address.
One person died at the scene, while the other was transported to hospital with serious injuries, police said.
Police said they were investigating the scene today and were asking anyone with information to come forward.
