South Korean media are reporting a New Zealand woman of Korean descent, whose children's bodies were found in a suitcase in Auckland, will be extradited.

Yonhap News Agency says the Ministry of Justice plans to deliver the 42 year-old woman within 30 days.

The Seoul High Court earlier granted the extradition request but it had to go to the ministry for final approval.

The Ministry says it comprehensively considered the purpose of the court's decision, the fact that Korea does not have jurisdiction over the investigation, and the national interest.

Evidence confiscated during the inquiry in South Korea will also be sent to New Zealand.

The woman was arrested in Ulsan in September.

The bodies of the children, who were aged under 10, were found in August, after a family bought the contents of an Auckland storage unit online.
