Police are dealing with three serious crashes, with two people left in a critical condition.
State Highway One at Lichfield, south Waikato, is blocked following a crash near the intersection with Pine Road.
A vehicle has rolled and at least one person has critical injuries.
A person has also been seriously injured after a crash on Domain Road in Putaruru.
Police have asked motorists to avoid the area.
Meanwhile, police said a motorcyclist was critically injured in a crash on State Higheway 41 at Tokaanu, near Turangi.
They said the road was blocked while emergency services responded.
