A person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a bus in Auckland.
Two St John ambulances were called to the scene at the intersection of Gillies and Alpers avenues, in Epsom, about 9.30am.
One person was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Auckland Explorer Bus confirmed one of its vehicles was involved and said the bus was unable to stop in time.
It said an investigation was under way.
Southbound lanes of Gillies Avenue between the State Highway 1 interchange and Owens Road have reopened.
