A canoeist missing in a Christchurch lake since yesterday has been found dead.
Two occupants were in the canoe at Lake Roto Kohatu when it overturned, but only one was rescued.
Emergency services were called about 6.50pm.
Police National Dive Squad resumed the search for the missing canoeist today, when they were found.
Police said they were working to support the family of the canoeist.
Police said at this stage, the family requested that no identifying information regarding the canoeist be shared publicly.
