Two teenagers have been arrested after a service station on Edmund Road, Mangakakahi, was broken into on 31 January.
Three offenders armed with weapons broke into the service station at 7am and stole a number of items, a police spokesperson said.
They fled the scene in a stolen vehicle which was recovered a short time later.
A 14-year-old boy has been charged with aggravated robbery and unlawfully taking a motor vehicle and was due to appear in Rotorua Youth Court on 7 March.
A 13-year-old boy has been charged with aggravated robbery and was due to appear in Rotorua Youth Court on 27 February.
The investigation into the robbery is ongoing.
