One person has died following a two-vehicle crash that included a motorbike this afternoon.
A second person was seriously injured and has been transported to Christchurch Hospital.
The crash which police said included a motorbike occurred on State Highway 1 near Amesbury Road in Sefton.
Emergency services were alerted around 3.15pm.
The road is closed and the serious crash unit has been advised.
