The Homegrown Juice Company is recalling a batch of its kombucha after an issue with its bottling equipment meant there could be pieces of glass inside the bottle.
The Ministry for Primary Industries recall only applies to the Homegrown Juice Company's Raw Kombucha Sparkling Ginger (350ml) with the date marking best before 17 August 2024.
The product is sold at selected supermarkets and retail outlets throughout New Zealand but has not been exported, MPI said.
Anyone who has a bottle of this specific kombucha should not drink it and can contact the shop they bought it from for a full refund.
The Ministry for Primary Industries said there had not been any reports of injuries connected to the kombucha, but anyone who had consumed it and had concerns should seek medical advice.
