Two people are in hospital after an aggravated robbery and fleeing driver crash in Palmerston North.
Police were called to a Tremaine Avenue commercial address at about 10.20pm last night after a report of three people entering with a firearm and demanding cash. The trio then fled the scene.
A vehicle did not stop for police after being signalled on College Street at about 2.30am and crashed into a parked vehicle.
Two people in the vehicle were seriously injuries and were transported to hospital, said police.
Officers were trying to find the remaining occupant who fled the scene.
Items believed to be connected to the robbery were found in the vehicle, said police.
Officers were making enquiries into the robbery.
Police said charges were expected to be laid in due course.
