A man with distinctive facial tattoos who has been on the run from police for nearly two weeks has handed himself in.
Police earlier this month said 28-year-old Naya Rapiu Fabian Wharekura of Ngāruawāhia had breached his bail conditions.
They warned against approaching him, saying he had "serious charges laid against him" and asked the public to report any sightings or information.
Police on Friday afternoon said he had surrendered, and will appear in Hamilton District Court on Saturday.
