Wellington Airport was evacuated due to a fire alarm being activated but has now been given the all clear for people to re-enter.
Fire and Emergency sent two fire trucks to the airport.
Wellington Airport said its southwest pier had been evacuated due to a smoke alarm being activated.
A spokesperson for the airport said the gates affected were 13-17, which are for domestic flights.
The airport could not confirm how many flight were affected by the delay.
