A 26-year-old man has been arrested after an alleged hit-and-run in the Auckland suburb of Otara.
Police say the man will appear in court this week facing charges of wounding with intent and "failing to stop or ascertain injury".
The pedestrian was still in hospital on Monday.
They were left with life-threatening injuries following the incident on Hills Road on Sunday night.
Police are asking for anyone with information to come forward.
