A teenager from the Norwegian Spirit cruise ship will never forget Dunedin after becoming separated from her parents while on a shore visit to the city.
There was concern for the welfare of 15-year-old Cameron today. Her mobile phone did not have a New Zealand Sim card and she could not reach her parents.
Dunedin police issued an alert on Facebook including a photo and description.
They said a member of the public spotted her after seeing the post and called police.
An officer collected the teen and she was reunited with her very relieved parents.
The ship was scheduled to depart at 4pm.
