Two people are seriously hurt and a Northland highway has closed in both directions after a single-vehicle crash.
One person was in critical condition following the crash on SH14 about 7am on Tuesday. A second was in serious condition, police said.
Part of the highway, which runs between Whangārei and Dargaville is closed, between intersections of Tangowahine Settlement Road East and Ounuwhao Road.
Drivers were warned to expect diversions and delays in the area.
