Police are seeking information from the public after an attempted assault on a woman in the Napier suburb of Greenmeadows on Saturday night.
The incident took place at about 9.15pm when the woman was walking her dog on York Street near the Westminster Avenue T-intersection and Anderson Park.
In a statement, police said as she neared the intersection a man was reported to have got out of a vehicle, pulled her across the road and then attempted to indecently assault her in Anderson Park.
The man is described as about 175cm (5 foot 9 inches) tall and was wearing a dark coloured hoodie, with the hood up.
Police said anyone with information about the incident that could help them should contact them on 105 quoting file number 240128/3120, or information could be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
