A person has died after a fiery crash on Bluff Highway at Greenville near Invercargill this afternoon
Emergency services were called to the single-vehicle crash at about 12.30pm.
Fire and Emergency said four fire trucks went to the scene and crews arrived to find a car fully alight.
Previously St John said one person was taken to Kew Hospital in a moderate condition.
However, police have confirmed a person died.
The road remains closed while a scene examination takes place and an investigation into the crash was underway.
