A series of "loud bangs" in the Wairarapa area have police looking for answers.
Police received "multiple reports of loud bangs" on Saturday morning.
The first call was from an address on South Road, Solway just after 3am, while the final call was received from an address in Lansdowne, about 5km away, at 7.32am.
"Initial information suggests a vehicle was also possibly in the area," police said.
"Wairarapa Police are keen to hear from anyone who has suffered any property damage as we make further enquiries into what the sounds related to."
Anyone with information or CCTV that could assist with the investigation was asked to call 105 and quote file number 240427/0125.
